Long-term hair reduction planned around your hair color and skin tone, in the same doctor-led Arcola Road office where we provide laser gum therapy, dermaplaning and microneedling.

Laser light is absorbed by the pigment in each hair, turns to heat and damages the follicle that grows it. The skin around it is not the target, so the settings matter.
A follicle only responds while it is actively growing, and only part of your hair grows at any one time. That is why treatment is a series of visits.
Dark, coarse hair holds the most pigment and responds well. Blonde, red, gray and white hair give the laser little to act on.
Darker or tanned skin needs more conservative settings, so we assess your skin type before choosing them.
Good candidates are tired of the shave, wax and regrow cycle and have hair darker than their skin. We review your health history before recommending a plan.
Very light hair, pregnancy or a fresh tan are reasons we may suggest another option or a later start.
We map the areas, check your hair and skin, and estimate how many sessions you need.
Shave the day before. Skip waxing, plucking and tanning in the weeks before.
You wear protective eyewear. Most patients feel a quick snap against the skin.
Treated hairs shed within weeks. We repeat sessions to reach follicles as they start growing.

Most areas where unwanted hair grows can be treated. An upper lip takes minutes, while legs or a back take longer per visit.
Shaving and waxing remove the hair you see. Laser works on the follicle, so upkeep drops over time.
| Method | Smoothness lasts | Ingrown hairs | Upkeep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Laser | Long-term reduction once the series is complete | Often fewer as follicles are treated | A planned series, then occasional maintenance |
| Waxing | About three to six weeks | Common as hair regrows | Regular visits, with grow-out between |
| Shaving | One to three days | Common, along with razor bumps | Several times a week, indefinitely |

Our aesthetic services run inside the office Dr. Nelly Silva leads, where our team also performs laser periodontal treatment. She asks patients to call her Nelly.
Pricing depends on the area and the number of sessions, so we quote after seeing you. We explain the plan and its cost before you book.
An upper lip and a full back take very different time and energy.
Hair density, color and hormones change how many visits an area needs.
We offer payment plans to spread treatment across your series.

Most areas need a series of sessions, often six or more, spaced several weeks apart. Only actively growing hairs respond at each visit, and facial or hormone-driven hair can need more.
It gives long-term hair reduction, not a promise that every hair is gone. Hair that grows back tends to be finer and lighter, and some patients return for occasional maintenance.
Blonde, red, gray or white hair has too little pigment for the laser to target. We also postpone treatment during pregnancy, over a fresh tan or sunburn, or with medication that makes skin light-sensitive.
It takes several months of visits, and you need to avoid sun and tanning beds between sessions. You can keep shaving throughout, so there is no grow-out period.
Shave the area the day before and skip waxing, plucking and threading in the weeks leading up to it. Treated hairs shed over one to three weeks, so judge results after that.
