Facial aesthetics planned by a dentist trained in aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry, so your skin, lips and smile are treated as one face.

Facial enhancement is a group of non-surgical treatments that refresh the face: injections that soften lines or restore volume, and skin treatments that improve texture and tone. In our office it belongs to Ageless Dentistry, next to full mouth reconstruction, because the two often answer the same concern.
Your teeth and jaw hold up the lower third of your face. When teeth wear down, shift or go missing, the lips can thin and the folds around the mouth deepen, and filler alone cannot replace that support. A dentist sees every layer at once, so we can tell you whether a line is a skin, volume or bite concern before you spend anything.
Most plans combine two or three of these, chosen for your concern rather than taken from a package.
Wrinkle-relaxing injections soften lines that form when muscles move, such as forehead lines, frown lines between the brows and crow's feet.
Fillers add volume where it has thinned, most often the lips, the folds that run from nose to mouth and the cheeks.
Very fine needles create tiny channels in the skin that prompt collagen renewal, for rough texture, fine lines and acne scarring.
A sterile blade lifts away dead surface cells and fine facial hair, leaving a smoother finish that helps skincare absorb.
Laser treatment around the lips and smile line, planned by the same team that cares for your teeth and gums.
When the lower face has lost height from worn or missing teeth, full mouth reconstruction restores support that skin treatments cannot.
Facial enhancement suits adults in good general health who want a fresher, more rested look and still want to look like themselves. Results are maintained over time with follow-up visits.
If you are pregnant or nursing, or have an active skin infection where treatment would go, we wait until that has passed before injections or skin treatments.
| Concern | What we usually consider | Layer |
|---|---|---|
| Forehead lines, frown lines, crow's feet | Botox | Soft tissue |
| Thin or uneven lips | Dermal fillers, laser esthetics around the lips | Soft tissue |
| Deep folds around the mouth | Fillers, plus a bite check for lost tooth height | Structure |
| Rough texture, fine lines, acne scars | Microneedling | Skin |
| Dull skin, fine facial hair | Dermaplaning, facials | Skin |
| Short or worn teeth that age the smile | Full mouth reconstruction, veneers | Structure |

Dr. Silva graduated from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, a postgraduate center for aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry, and completed a TMD residency with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. That training is why we read the face from the bite outward: jaw position, lip support and muscle activity all change how a treatment settles.
She also teaches as a Clinical Associate Professor at Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry. Most patients simply call her Nelly, which is how she prefers it.
Laser esthetics sits alongside the laser care we already use to treat and contour the gums. Because both happen in one office, lip work and gum line work can share the same series of visits.

Timeframes are typical. Your plan sets the exact schedule.
We look at your skin, lips and smile together, ask what bothers you most and talk through the options that fit.
Treatments are set in a sensible order, often dental support first, then volume, then skin, with each fee reviewed.
Injections take a short appointment. Microneedling is usually done as a series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart.
Botox settles over about two weeks. Filler shows once early swelling eases. We time touch-ups to how your face responds.
Fees depend on which treatments you choose, how many areas are treated and how many sessions your skin needs. We price your plan after the consultation, not before.

Answers to what patients ask most before their first facial aesthetics visit.
Facial aesthetic treatment covers non-surgical procedures that improve how the face looks, such as wrinkle-relaxing injections, dermal fillers, microneedling, dermaplaning and laser treatments. None of them require surgery or general anesthesia. In our office they are planned alongside your smile and bite, since the teeth support the lower face.
Dentists study the muscles, nerves and bones of the face and jaw in depth, and give injections around the mouth every day. Dr. Silva's postgraduate training in aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry adds a focus on how the bite shapes the face, so face and smile share one plan.
Skin rejuvenation means improving texture, tone and fine lines so the skin looks fresher. Microneedling encourages collagen renewal over a series of sessions, while dermaplaning and facials smooth the surface. Daily sunscreen protects what you gain.
It depends on the treatment. Wrinkle-relaxing injections usually last about three to four months, and fillers often last several months to a year or more depending on the product and the area. Skin treatments build over a series and are kept up with occasional maintenance visits.
That is the goal of every plan. We start conservatively, check how your face settles at follow-up and add more only if you want it. A refreshed, rested look is the target, not a different face.
The cost depends on which treatments you choose, how many areas are treated and how many sessions your skin needs. We review the fees for your plan with you before treatment starts. Payment plans are available, and treatment can be phased.
Yes, and the order matters. When teeth are worn, short or missing, restoring the smile first can return support to the lips and cheeks, which may reduce how much filler you need. Your plan sets out which step comes first.
