Your new smile is designed by a dentist trained at the Las Vegas Institute in aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry, so it looks right and fits the way your jaw closes.

Every case below was treated in our Collegeville office. Each one started with a different concern, which is why each plan used a different mix of treatments.

Results differ from person to person. Your consultation includes a look at more cases close to your own.
A smile makeover is a plan that combines two or more cosmetic and restorative treatments to change the color, shape, spacing or completeness of your smile. It is not a single procedure. Whitening alone is a cosmetic treatment, while whitening plus aligners plus two veneers is a makeover.
We start from what bothers you and work backward to the fewest treatments that fix it. Many patients need less than they expected, because moving teeth first can mean fewer veneers, and a whiter shade can make old fillings worth replacing to match.
| What bothers you | Treatments we use | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Yellowed or stained teeth | Professional in-office whitening, veneers for stains whitening cannot lift | Color |
| Crooked, crowded or gapped teeth | Invisalign clear aligners, veneers for small gaps | Alignment |
| Chipped, worn or uneven edges | Veneers, crowns | Shape |
| Missing teeth | Dental implants, implant reconstruction, full and partial dentures | Completeness |
| Short teeth or a gummy smile | Crown lengthening, laser gum contouring | Gum line |
| Teeth worn down from years of grinding | Full mouth reconstruction planned around the bite | Bite and height |
A smile can look perfect in a photo and still feel wrong when you chew. New veneers or crowns change where your teeth meet, and if that contact fights your jaw muscles, the result can chip, ache or wear early.
Dr. Silva trained at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, a postgraduate center for aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry, and completed a TMD residency with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. In practice, that means we check how your jaw rests and closes before we design how your teeth look.
"I got clear aligners through this office, and not only does my smile look amazing, but my bite feels so much more comfortable."
Tiffany, Google ReviewTeeth that look short are often normal teeth hidden under extra gum tissue. Reshaping the gum line can change a smile as much as veneers, and it can make veneers look more natural when you do need them.

Most adults with healthy gums and a clear idea of what they want to change are good candidates. A few things change the order of treatment, and a few make the visits easier.
These are not deal-breakers. They become the first phase of your plan.
The order matters as much as the treatments. Teeth are moved before they are shaped, and whitened before anything is shade-matched.
We talk through what you want to change, examine your teeth, gums and bite, and take digital scans and images.
You get each phase in order, what it involves and what it costs, so you can decide with the full picture.
Gum care, any needed fillings, aligners or implants come first. Aligners and implant healing take months, the rest takes weeks.
Whitening, veneers and crowns go on last, shade-matched to your final color and checked against your bite.
Dr. Silva plans and performs the cosmetic, orthodontic and implant work. Gum line and periodontal treatment are handled by Dr. Strassberg in the same office.

DMD, Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry . Graduate, Las Vegas Institute . Fellow, International College of Dentists . Fellowship, American Dental Implant Association
Dr. Silva is a Clinical Associate Professor at Temple's Kornberg School of Dentistry and provides Invisalign, implant reconstruction and dentures herself, so one dentist sees your plan through. She invites patients to call her Nelly.

Periodontics
Dr. Strassberg is skilled in all aspects of periodontics. He treats gum disease and reshapes the gum line, including crown lengthening, when a makeover needs it.
The cost depends on how many teeth are involved and which treatments your plan uses, so a whitening-and-veneer plan and a full mouth reconstruction are priced very differently. We go over the cost of each phase with you before treatment starts.
A smile makeover is a treatment plan that combines two or more cosmetic and restorative procedures to change how your smile looks and works. Depending on your goals, it can include whitening, veneers, clear aligners, crowns, implants or gum contouring. The plan is built for one person, so no two makeovers use the same mix.
Veneer fees depend on how many teeth are treated, the material and how much preparation each tooth needs, so a fair number only comes after an exam. In a smile makeover, veneers are often paired with whitening or aligners, which can reduce how many veneers you need. We go over the cost of each phase with you before anything starts, and payment plans are available.
A plan built on whitening and veneers usually takes a few visits over several weeks. When clear aligners, implants or gum treatment are part of the plan, the full makeover takes several months, because those steps need time to move teeth or heal. Your plan lists each phase in order so you know what comes next.
Our office offers payment plans, and our dental savings plan is another way to lower the cost. Treatment can also be phased, replacing the most important teeth first and finishing the rest later. Dentures and partials are another option when implants are not in the budget yet.
It should look like your own teeth on a good day rather than a set of identical white blocks. We match shade, tooth length and shape to your face, lips and gum line, and we check that the new teeth fit the way your jaw closes. You review the plan and the shade with us before final work is placed.
Yes. Gum disease and active decay are treated first, because veneers, crowns and implants last longer on a healthy foundation. Periodontal care, including laser treatment, happens in the same office, so this step does not mean a referral elsewhere.
Conscious sedation is available for patients with dental anxiety or longer appointments. We also numb with The Wand, a computer-controlled system that delivers anesthetic slowly and steadily. Tell us what worries you at the consultation and we will plan your visits around it.
Bring the photo you hide from and the smile you want. You leave with a plan, the order it happens in and what it costs. Our office is at 399 Arcola Road, Collegeville, PA 19426.
