Keep Your Gums Healthy | Advanced Dentistry of Collegeville

Many people will focus solely on the care and health of their teeth. While this is extremely important, it is also vital to focus of the care and health of your gums in order to prevent gingivitis (gum inflammation) and periodontitis (gum disease). Here is a list of things you can do to keep your gums healthy:

  1. Floss at least once daily
  2. Schedule regular dental checkups
    • Every six months, or two times per year is what is recommended
  3. Brush your teeth twice a day
  4. Use fluoride toothpaste
  5. Avoid smoking
  6. Use mouthwash

If you do all of this, you are in a good position for having healthy gums! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at (610) 489-5555.
